This position will be scheduled to work mornings, approximatley Monday - Thursday from 8:
00am - 1:
00pm.
General
Summary:
Work as a team with other laboratory staff in meeting workload demands in any needed areas of the laboratory.
Potential candidate must he highly motivated, detail oriented, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Works under the direction of the Lab Manager.
This position is a minimum of 20 hours with potential for more.
Work hours are somewhat flexible, however, this is an AM-only shift.
Principal Duties &
Responsibilities:
Example of Accessioning Essential Duties:
Data entry including but not limited to transcribing pathology reports Be able to effectively communicate with all offices within the practice regarding biopsy orders Accession specimens in an accurately and timely manner Prepare cassettes and slides Prepare consultation, send out cases, as well as ensures accuracy of receiving eLabs from outside laboratories Assist with record keeping and slide filing Perform laboratory machine maintenance upon request Assist with the staining of tissue specimens upon request Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Required:
Must be familiar with computers Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time, and completes all tasks within the established time frame Demonstrates the ability to expand roles Assist other laboratory staff as needed Medicare Exclusion List Education:
Associates Degree in Science is preferred, but not required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
